So, In order for a page to be SEO ready we need to take care of two Major Parts of SEO, those are:
  1. On-Page SEO
  2. Off-Page SEO
Let's discuss a bit about them in short and then we will move to the components of these two portions to complete our first chapter of Digital Marketing.

1. On-Page SEO

On-Page SEO refers to things and changes we make on our website/Blog by ourselves. We have full control over On-Page SEO and this plays a very crucial role in the overall ranking of our website/blog. It has more than 15 components to discuss which we'll looking at in the today's chapter.

2.Off-Page SEO

Off-Page refers to things we do on the external web, which in our language is also called as web2.0.
These includes building back-links, writing blogs/articles about our page and then redirecting users to us. we are going to discuss all its elements in detail below.

Components Of On-Page SEO: -

These are factors and components that google considers to rank your website to the top, we mus have a clear understanding on what these things are and how to execute them. These are:
  1. Domain Name/ Age
  2. URL
  3. Meta Tags- Title, Description, Keywords
  4. Schema
  5. Header Tags
  6. Content
  7. Images/Info-graphics
  8. Videos
  9. Internal Links
  10. High authority Outbound Links
  11. Website Loading Speed
  12. Responsive Design
  13. Structured Snippets
  14. Code Optimization
  15. Local Business Listings,..and even more.

Now Let's Discuss all of them in detail and How do we use them:

1.Domain Name/ Age

Not Everyone who searches about Digital Marketing Or SEO Or even someone who's planning buy or register for a new domain name(www.xyz.com) knows the importance of domain name and age of the domain.
When we talk of domain name these are the things we must consider:
  1. The name of the domain should match the kind of business we are doing online. For Example, If I have a domain say "www.myhospital.com" and the content and the products on my site belongs to "Agriculture". This kind of domains and websites won't seek much attention from google and ultimately loses its ranking.
  2. Website Age is the period of time since the website was first registered to the day it is now. When starting a SEO Campaign, we must see the age of the registered Domain particularly. As Of now, Google won't pay much attention to domains which are registered in a period of 6 months. Yes, that's correct but nothing to worry about there are lots and lots of pre-registered domains or expired domains on sale on various third party sellers like Godaddy.com and more. You can anytime go there and buy an old domain for yourselves that should be related to your Business too. And Remember, The older the Domain The Better it is for SEO.

2.URL

Before talking about URL Structure in SEO we must know one more key element that is "Keyword". These are the words that people are searching for which is related to your business. We must choose a keyword with high visitors and low competition to get higher rankings in less time period. We won't go more deep in this but in case you need more help on this please let me know via comments. We can Plan our keywords through google keyword planner tool.
These keywords should be used in conjunction with our domain nae to achieve an ideal URL. An example is mentioned below in the image.

3.Meta-Tags

These are tags which are very important in Search Engine Optimization  that we make to our website HTML codes which makes google understand about the kind of website we have. In other words, it gives additional information about our website to google. These tags include:
1.Title
2.Description
3.Keywords (Currently google has made it un-compulsory)

1.The Title of a page denotes what the page is all about. We must choose a relevant Title for our page as the contents written inside it should not go off-topic. The contents of the page page must revolve around the Title of the page, else it won't have any positive impacts on the overall page SEO.
Moreover, For a better Search Engine Optimization, it must include important and researched keywords. (Do it on Google Keyword Planner).

Local SEO
Example: Using Title tag

2.Description: The description of the page should be eye-catching because this will be the part that will appear on search results along with the title. When reading this text users should be convinced to click on your website link.It should be between 0 to 360 characters only.

3.Keywords: In SEO, it had to be a very important factor to be included in the codes but now google has declared it to be non-compulsory as google will now judge your site based on other factors we are discussing.

4.Schema: Schema in the most common language, is sharing more details about my blog or website with google. For Example if we have a facebook or youtube or any other social media pages that links to our website or blog, we can mention it to our website codes and inhance rankings.

5.Header Tags:These are the first things that google notices after the "Meta Tags". We should be very careful in selecting words for the header tags and it should mandatorily include Our website keywords. Apart from this, There should be a proper pattern followed while using H1, H2,... Tags. Refer the image below for detailed information on how to use header tags in HTML.
